Transport

If you are looking for the fastest and easiest way to get somewhere that's beyond walking, we suggest taking a digital taxi service like Bolt (it's like Uber in Baltics) or Baltic Taxi.

In case you find the tram, trolleybus, bus or other means of public transport in Riga most relevant, visit public transport tips for Riga guests to find out how to pay for public transport service or plan your route.

If you happen to arrive here by car, Mobilly might come handy for parking payments.

Riga Old Town

  • Make sure to include in your plans a walk around Riga Old Town where you’ll find a blend of vibrant nightlife and amazing architecture.
  • Among many things worth visiting, we suggest St Peter’s Church, which is Riga’s tallest church with a tower and provides an amazing view of the Riga and the Daugava River.
  • You also may want to take a look at Dome Square (Doma laukums) which is the largest square in the Old Town with the prominent Riga Cathedral — one of the oldest sacred buildings in the Baltics.

Riga Central Market

  • Another distinctive spot worth visiting in Riga is the central market. You can embark on a walking tour to taste and buy delicious foods and take a look at architecturally-distinctive food pavilions, that were build in the 1920s and originally were used as military airship hangars. Part of the territory has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1998.
  • It’s also worth paying attentions to the old warehouses that have now been transformed into a arts&entertainment quarter which is called Spīķeri (from German Spéicher).
  • Nēģu 7, Riga

Latvian National Museum of Art

  • This is a go-to place to find out more about professional art in Latvia. You will discover a wealth of information about visual and decorative arts development both locally and globally.
  • Jaņa Rozentāla laukums 1, Riga

Enjoy your time in Riga!

These were a few practical tips to make your extra time in Riga more enjoyable. Have wonderful insights from the conference and continue inspiring the world and making a bigger and better impact!
